Biography
Sherri, Rick, and Henry Swiman will all be taking turns authoring our weblog. Mostly Sherri, with suggestions from the others.
Sherri is a copywriter, specializing in direct marketing. For ten years, before she met Rick and adopted young Henry, she spent ten months a year writing fundraising and commercial copy for pay -- and two months a year traveling the globe.
She has visited approximately 35 countries including (in no particular order) Myanmar, India, Jordan, Egypt, Israel, Ecuador, Chile, Argentina, Vietnam, Indonesia, Belize, Guatemala, and many more. Thanks to modern technology, Sherri will be working from the road.
Rick has been in the automobile business for more than 25 years -- in management, selling, renting, and even early in his career, repairing cars. He is perfectly willing to leave his professional career for this year on the road.
Henry is a highly verbal and extremely adaptable child who is going on this trip because Mom and Dad say so. Also, when the trip is over, Henry will be going to kindergarten and taking a year off will be much, much more difficult.
Interests
Henry is interested in Power Rangers. Rick is interested in RVs, and in particular, Gus the Bus. Sherri is interested in ensuring that her business does not go in bankruptcy when she gets home.
